About Microneedling
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is an aesthetic treatment that uses a pen-style device fitted with very fine, sterile needles to create tiny, controlled channels in the surface of the skin. At VIPrivate Care it's performed with the SkinStylus microneedling system, under the direction of our Medical Director.
A session takes about 45 minutes. Your provider cleanses the treatment area and may apply a topical numbing cream before passing the SkinStylus device over the skin. Afterward, skin often looks pink or flushed, much like a mild sunburn, for a day or two, and your provider goes over aftercare with you before you leave.
The micro-channels prompt the skin's own repair process, which includes producing new collagen. Your provider sets the needle depth for each treatment area and for your skin, so every session is adjusted to you.
Microneedling can be paired with a HydraFacial in the same visit for an additional $150, adding a deep cleanse and hydration to the same appointment.
